The concerts take place in Scottsdale Civic Center Mall on selected Sunday afternoons from January 12 through April 4. Along with free musical entertainment\, each Sunday A’Fair includes a pop-up arts market. \n\nFeatured Bands:\nHolly Pyle Trio Sunday\, Jan. 26\,\nnoon Fountain Stage   \nVoted Best Vocalist of 2019 by Phoenix New Times\, vocal acrobat Holly Pyle channels her “liquid-like voice” and intense presence into several local and traveling music projects. \nPyle completed two bachelor’s degrees in music and psychology at Northern Arizona University in 2010 and launched a performance career in 2013. Initially a straight-ahead jazz singer\, Pyle slowly integrated a handful of other genres and is now best known as the vocal-looping frontwoman of progressive soul outfit House of Stairs. She also travels and sings jazz with Dmitri Matheny and sings ’70s classics with the singer-songwriter collective Live from Laurel Canyon. Phoenix New Times says\, “She is a big time outside-the-box thinker and is constantly pushing the barriers of vocal melodies in her music. When she sings\, it sounds like the smooth richness of Billie Holiday mixed with beautiful fluttering tones of Merrill Garbus. It is truly a sound of her own.” To date\, Holly has given more than 1\,300 performances\, released three albums\, and provided several clinics about songwriting and loop station technology.  \nScattered Melodies\n2–4 p.m\nFountain Stage \nJosh Montag and Jake Johnston’s project\, Scattered Melodies\, combines their talents to unite individual communities and whole continents through music. With their first collaborative piece\, A Collective Agreement\, they are working with various bands and artists to grow and promote a greater sense of community consciousness within the music industry.  \n\nGuests are invited to bring a blanket to sit on the lawn or low-sitting lawn chairs to enjoy great food\, friends\, and free live performances.
