SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts presents a fresh lineup for its 2022–23 season, filled with concerts and performances for a wide range of tastes, from eclectic to traditional, featuring everything from Grammy-winning artists in jazz, classical and global music to Broadway greats, expressive contemporary dance, laugh-out-loud comedy, and family shows for the young and young-at-heart. Single tickets will be on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2022.
Broadway returns to the Center with fresh faces and veteran talents like Jessica Vosk, who played Elphaba on the second national tour and Broadway productions of “Wicked.” L.A. Theatre Works tells the tale of how the pioneering television sitcom “I Love Lucy” came to be. Tony Award winner and Emmy-nominated actor, Alan Cumming dazzles with an evening of story and song celebrating and exploring his puckish, eclectic spirit.
Jeffrey Siegel’s long-running classical concerts with commentary series returns. Additionally, the Virginia G. Piper Concert Series celebrates the centuries-old world of classical music with extraordinary musicians, such as Orpheus Chamber Orchestra with Renaud Capuçon.
Experience sounds and traditions of global cultures from Africa to Japan with artists like Soweto Gospel Choir and KODO. Jazz superstar Joshua Redman highlights the compelling Jazz Series. American music royalty The Temptations celebrate their 60th anniversary with an international tour, making a stop here in Scottsdale.
BODYTRAFFIC kicks off the Dance Series and offers a public performance and a student matinee. And with family-friendly performances like “Balloonacy,” parents can introduce young children to the performing arts.

“Balloonacy” is a tender, uplifting, laugh-out-loud comedy show. This family-friendly play explores the power of friendship and shows how, with a little imagination and acceptance, companionship is everywhere. This performance is in collaboration with Teatro Bravo. This performance is 50 minutes, nonverbal and appropriate for all ages.
Hitting New Heights | Mandy Gonzales & Javier Munoz
Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, 8 p.m.
The Broadway stars of “Hamilton” and “In the Heights” join voices to celebrate Broadway’s hottest composers, from Stephen Schwartz to Lin-Manuel Miranda. This performance features songs from “Wicked” to “Hamilton” and beyond. It’s truly a tour-de-force concert event!
